Write With Inflectra: Tech Blogging Internship

As part of Giving Back to Community month at Inflectra, we are introducing an exciting new opportunity: Tech Blogging Internship for young writers. The goal of this internship is two-fold:

1.     To help Inflectra create compelling content relevant to today’s tech and software development industries, including how young people experience, search for and use software/technology in their daily lives

2.     To support young tech bloggers in strengthening their voices, building skills and expanding their readership.

More specifically, the internship offers young people aged 18-25 an opportunity to take a deeper dive into the world of software development. Interns will explore, among other things, new trends in software development, testing and quality assurance; compare products on the market and research how customers interact and experience software technology, including Inflectra's own software. We encourage interns to delve into academic areas they consider fascinating, including young people’s access to technology/software development field. Interns will receive feedback on their blog posts, will learn about the tech space from the inside of an entrepreneurial tech company and will have their pieces published on company's digital media platforms. If you’re looking to build your portfolio, this is the perfect opportunity. And you get to work with a team of techies in an upbeat, chill and, importantly, a socially-responsible tech company.

Ideally, you are:

  • a tech student in good academic standing in one of the universities in the greater DC area; or a recent graduate;
  • a tech-savvy blogger based in Washington, DC/Silver Spring area
  • have your own blog or write for your university newspaper/newsletter
  • love doing research and writing about your findings
  • have experience with social media
  • can work from home and come into the office once a week for a total of 4-5 hours per week
  • available to write weekly blogposts on the above topics.

The duration of the internship is 3 months, starting in March 20, 2017. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2017.

Please send your CV, and a letter of recommendation (from your favorite professor, perhaps) to: thea.maisuradze@inflectra.com. Include your blog’s URL or attach your tech-related writing sample, if you feel like it.

This opportunity is unpaid. However, a small stipend will be provided to cover travel and lunch.

In case you are not selected for the internship - don’t worry! Inflectra is open to everyone - submit a blog post, comment on posts, or simply browse through our blogs, white papers and video tutorials. Also, don’t forget to follow us on Facebook , Twitter and Youtube
