Create word test script from test set

Hi all,

We regularly have to print out our test cases into a word document.

We usually have to have one word document per test set.

At the moment we are entering all of the test cases ids and using a variant of the printable test scripts.

Does anybody know if we can do the same by just entering the test set id instead of manually adding all the test ids?

I have tried the test set detailed report but even though i select test steps to include, the steps are not included.

Does anybody have a custom report for this?

thanks,

Martin

Hi Martin

If you are running v5.0, I believe that the test steps should be included in the Test Set Detailed Report. If you are not running v5.0, then I'd recommend upgrading.

Hi Jim,

We are running v5 and i have tried the Test Set Detailed Report.

When I do this, i select only test steps and the format as Word document.

I also enter one test set ID.

However when the report is created it seems to just print out all the test set headings and no test cases or test steps are listed.

Thanks,

Martin

Hi Martin,

I looked into this and I found that the "Test Case Coverage" checkbox needs to be selected too, in order to include the test steps.
