It lets you conditionally control what values are available in one list dropdown, based on the selected values of other list fields. In other words, changing one list dynamically updates the options in other lists. For example, an incident of type "Enhancement" could have its owner field limited to a certain group of users, but an incident of type "Bug" could have the owner field limited to a different group of users. The SpiraApp is highly customizable using the product settings to meet a variety of different use cases.

With the final sunsetting of Jira Server in February 2024, customers that are running Jira Server are looking at their options:

Upgrade to Jira DataCenter, which is designed for larger organizations, and has a minimum 500 users pricing model.
Migrate to Jira Cloud, which is the preferred option by Atlassian.
Look for an alternative to Jira.

However, many customers using some of the plugins for Jira Server, such as XRAY for test management, are also looking at different options. In the case of XRAY, one of the issues has been that the cloud version of XRAY works differently than the Server/DataCenter version, and many customers have been unable to migrate from XRAY Server to XRAY Cloud.

Therefore, we at Inflectra have extended our Jira migration tool to support the migration of XRAY artifacts to SpiraTest. This lets us assist customers in two different use cases:

Jira Server + XRAY Server customers that want to remain on-premise, and are looking to migrate to SpiraTeam or SpiraPlan

With Windows 10 and the release of Microsoft Edge in 2015, we have seen continued decline in the usage of Internet Explorer by our customers. This has accelerated since the release of the new Edge browser earlier this year, which is now available for older versions of Windows. Microsoft itself strongly discourages using Internet Explorer as your default browser. Several years ago Microsoft also stopped updating Internet Explorer to any modern web standards.

We will therefore be ending our support for Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) at the end of March 2021 for our browser-based products.

SpiraTest v1.3.2 Released

This release corrects limitations in SpiraTest v1.3.1 that restricted the size of rich-text description fields. The fields have now been extended to contain unlimited characters. In addition, this version provides full Unicode support for extended non-Latin character sets, better database support for regions with different sorting collations, and more robust handling of international date formats.
