5.1.1. Insert

Hovering over the <Insert> button brings up a secondary menu that allows you to choose whether to insert a test case or a test folder (if you just click Insert it defaults to inserting a test case). In either case, it will insert the new test folder / test case above the currently selected item – i.e. the one whose check-box has been selected, at the same level in the hierarchy. If you want to insert a new test case or test folder inside an existing folder, use the Insert > Child Test Case or Insert > Sub Folder option instead. If you insert a new test folder / test case without first selected an existing item from the list, the new test case will simply be inserted at the end of the list.

Once the new test folder / test case has been inserted, the item is switched to “Edit” mode so that you can rename the default name and choose an owner and/or author. Note that all new test cases are initially set with an execution status of “Not Run”.
