3.1.4. Project Associations

By default, all projects in SpiraTeam are completely self-contained. Artifacts in one project can only be linked or associated with artifacts in the same project. However, for some customers, they need a way to share artifacts between projects. This administration screen lets the project admin specify which other projects can access artifacts in the current project:

Note: When you share artifacts from the current project to another project, the permissions in the other project will determine which users can see the items, so you need to make sure that is acceptable before enabling the sharing.

To share artifacts with another project, click on the ‘Add’ button in the toolbar:

Select the name of the project you want to share with and choose which artifact(s) you want to share with this project:

When you click the ‘Add’ button, SpiraTeam will add the new project association to the list:

You can change the project association (for example to change which artifacts are shared) by clicking on the ‘Edit’ button to the right:

This updates the association list:

To remove an association, simply select its checkbox and click ‘Remove’:
