The Challenge

Telstra International faced growing demand for advanced test automation for its Salesforce platform. Strict security standards required a full security review and approval of any automation solution, adding complexity to tool selection.

The Objective

The company aimed to expand the scope of automation, enable non-technical team members to participate actively, and significantly accelerate test execution.

Tools used previously

  • Selenium
  • Gauge + Taikoo

These tools supported basic automation tasks but were insufficient for automating complex applications such as Salesforce.

The Inflectra solution

SpiraTest and Rapise created a comprehensive regression-testing foundation

SpiraTest and Rapise were deployed to build a reliable regression test suite for Salesforce. Rapise enabled Telstra to automate repetitive and complex tasks, including regression and daily sanity testing. SpiraTest was used to manage and document testing processes so tests could be planned, executed, and tracked for efficiency and accountability.

Rapise

Provided extensive Salesforce automation support and the flexibility needed for complex workflows.

SpiraTest

Centralized planning, execution, documentation, and tracking of the testing process.

Why Inflectra?

  • Telstra had already achieved success with Inflectra platforms on other projects.
  • Rapise stood out for extensive Salesforce automation support.
  • The user-friendly interface enabled non-technical team members to participate, supporting Telstra's goal of democratizing automation.
