(Thread)

We just purchased a license and we are trying to install against a remote SQL Server Enterprise server. I installed and evaluated the trial on a local SQLExpress instance without any issues, but we are getting an error when trying to navigate to the login page after installing the licensed version against our remote SQL Server. Are there any settings that need to be made to the SQL server, other than setting up the initial admin user for the install?

<a10:contributor><a10:email>support@inflectra.com</a10:email></a10:contributor><a10:id>http://www.inflectra.com/kronodesk/forums/threads</a10:id>

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Login failed for user 'SpiraTest'.

We just purchased a license and we are trying to install against a remote SQL Server Enterprise server. Hi Steve I would recommend submitting a help desk request for this issue since it sounds time critical and we don't check the forums as frequently as the help desk. Did the installer complete the installation correctly? Do you see the database inside the SQL Server (using SQL Management Studio)? Do you see a login in the database called SpiraTest. Does the password match up with the onside the application's Web.Config file? We were able to resolve this. The user my DBA setup to install spira was "spiratest" and Spira was defaulting to creating a user named spiratest. I uninstalled and changed the user and login Spira wanted to create to SpiraTestUser and that resolved the issue.
