When using the XLS import tool for Excel 2007, after assigning test case numbers to a test set if i then export them all works fine. If however I export again it assigns the test cases to the test set twice, would you not normally just have a test case assigned to a test set once in which case this is a fault? Thanks Grant

you can add manually the same test case to a test set as many times as you want. This is because the test case can have parameters in it, and can be set to different vaules when you link the test case to a test set.

Since this can be done manually, it should be able to do it through the excel addin too. Although the real problem is that you can't set the parameters through the addin. This is what I followed and observed: - Export test cases into Spira Team from the TEMPLATE spreadsheet. - Export Test sets into Spira Team from the TEMPLATE spreadsheet. - Update the Test set id in the Test cases sheet to link the test cases to test sets. - Export the test cases into Spira Team. In Spira Team, you will now see test sets linked to test cases. - Now, use the TEMPLATE spreadsheet to update test case description for a test case. - Export the test cases again into Spira Team. What you will observe now is the test case description is updated for the test case in Spira Team; however the test set to which this test case was linked to will have an additional entry with the same id. So in effect, the test set now contains 1. the original test case before making the change 2. another test case with the same id after making the change. Spira Team 4.0 with Excel 2007. P.S. Grant: Is this the same what you were reporting?

<a10:updated>2014-02-14T14:13:52-05:00</a10:updated>
