I can change the Status of a Bug type Incident in the Tracking Ccreen simply by useing the pull down menu. This seems to bypass the Workflow configuratation for this type, allowing me to "jump" to any Status I want. That seems odd, even though I have Sys Admin proviledges, since there is a Workflow with limitations on reansitions, etc. I don't understand why there is a Workflow with specific conditions and restrictions if I can just flip the Status to whatever I want in the Tracking Screen. If your user only has 'Modify Owned' permissions then the user cannot edit on the list screen and is therefore workflow-restricted. Otherwise if the user has the Modify All permissions, they can edit on the list pages and bypass workflow.
