I'm just becoming familiar with the workflow and that is how I set up my release, with two indented iterations. Then I executed and passed one test in Sprint 1 and viewed the dashboard. The sprint had the test execution but there's nothing on the release. I need the ability to publish results and progress at a release level. I would also like to view the release results on the dashboard by test case functional area (folders) and drill down to sub-folders. When I associate a test case to a release, it automatically added all the iterations and I had to remove the unwanted iterations. 2. When executing a test set, I can only associate with either the iteration or the release. There just seems to be a lot of overhead for something that should be done automatically to track release progress. I certainly don't want to go test case by case and assign iterations and releases. This certainly looks like a promising product but I don't want my testers having to jump through hoops so that I can have proper management reporting.

<a10:updated>2011-06-08T22:39:23-04:00</a10:updated>

Thanks for the feedback: 1) That's true, it was done as many users had requested this feature an

Thanks for the feedback: 1) That's true, it was done as many users had requested this feature and it made sense to initially add the iterations. 2) You should associate it with the iteration since this will be used to drive exection. The idea is to associate the test cases to the appropriates releases / iterations prior to execution so that you know what needs to be tested from a test planning standpoint. The selection for the test set is for test execution and any results associated with the iteration will automatically roll-up to the parent release.

<a10:updated>2011-06-09T16:16:48-04:00</a10:updated>

Hello Inflectra, I too am evaluating SpiraTest for my company and I too am having the same proble

Hello Inflectra, I too am evaluating SpiraTest for my company and I too am having the same problems. Whilst the test case results will roll up to the release if I associate them to the Iteration and the Release, I have multiple levels of release and I wish to see the results roll all the way up. For example my release structure (which is based on the structure you recommend on this site), is: Product -> Sub Product -> Major Release -> Iteration / Sprint I want my results rolling up all the way please. Would you mind telling me how I do this please? This was originally by design because releases were considered separate from a test results perspective. However based on feedback from customers we're planning on making this configurable.

<a10:updated>2011-10-31T14:06:43-04:00</a10:updated>

(See previous post). How about your planning on making this configurable? Is roll-up of test results already implemented?

In addition to having the test results roll up, we have the following wishes: * Roll-up for requirements: When selecting a release in the requirements view, I'd like to see all requirements for this release and all of its sub(sub)releases * Roll-up for test cases: When selecting a release in the test cases view, I'd like to see all test cases for this release and all if its sub(sub)releases Are they already available? I cannot find them...

<a10:updated>2016-02-15T08:38:19-05:00</a10:updated>

Hello Spira Test,

I have the following requirement in my project. I have a release and the release is mapped to one sprint only. Basically each of my release will have one sprint only. The sprint is mapped to several requirements. Each requirement is tied to multiple test cases. While the sprint is going on we usually send a couple of requirements to production. For this, I have to generate a report. Currently, I don't know how to generate a report for selected requirements and their associated test cases. I want a drop down list of all the requirements and associated test cases or test runs in the report. I want to select the requirements from the drop down list in reports. How can I achieve this? Thanks, Sriman

<a10:updated>2016-02-23T20:01:23-05:00</a10:updated>
