(Thread)

I have tons of test cases and organize by folders. How can we use the filters to find the test folder? for example I have project A and under it I have 100 folders f1, f2, f3......f100, each folder hold different number of test cases. Now I want to find all the test cases under the folder f90, I try to use folder name f90 as filter in the name field, but looks like it can't get what I want. Is there any quick way to find the folder?

<a10:contributor><a10:email>support@inflectra.com</a10:email></a10:contributor><a10:id>http://www.inflectra.com/kronodesk/forums/threads</a10:id>

filter test cases by folder name?

I have tons of test cases and organize by folders. Dear Sarah! I have the same problem. It would be very useful to have any possibility to find a Folder name in a long Test case list. If I give the Foldet ID, than the filtering works well, why it is not possible with Folder name? Regard. Hi Andrea,

As Sarah said, filtering by name does not retrieve test case folders , if no child test cases match. It's a limitation of the current design. The good news is that we are planning to redesign the test case organization functionality for version 4.3. The details haven't been worked out yet, but the team is definitely taking your feedback into consideration. As for the test case ID - you're right, for the ID only, the behavior changed in a previous version, and now if you filter on a folder ID, it will retrieve the folder.
