Normally when we provision a cloud instance of SpiraTest, SpiraTeam, SpiraPlan, or KronoDesk it is available to be accessed by anyone over the Internet using HTTPS from any IP address or network.
Sometimes, for extra security, organizations want to be able to limit who can access the instance from a network perspective (beyond the normal login/password or SSO authentication).
We can provide (upon the request), the ability to whitelist specific IP addresses that can access the URL (in addition to some internal IP addresses used by Inflectra for monitoring purposes).
If you choose this option, you are responsible for maintaining the currency of this list of approved IP addresses and letting us know when the list needs to be changed. Also you need to make sure you communicate the restriction to your users because we have had instances of users log support tickets because they cannot access the instance.
