When you record a test Rapise captures UI elements with which you interact and adds them as objects to the Object Tree of a test. Each object has a Type (Button, Text, Label, Tree, Grid, ...) and Location. Rapise uses Location attribute of an object to find it in the application during test execution.

How to View Object Location

To view object Location select the object in the Object Tree.

Rapise will display object properties in the Properties grid. Location may refer to other properties of an object.

How to Check and Fix Object Location

If an object is not found during test execution you may need to check it's location. Open the application and make sure that the object is displayed on screen, then do Flash with Rapise. If the object is not found you may either fix it manually (especially if you test a web application) or just re-learn it (if the application under test was modified by developers).

How to Re-Learn Object

Select the object in the object tree, right click it and choose Re-Learn.

Rapise will launch recording session and ask you to click on the object inside the application. Do it and object location property will be automatically updated.
