Incidents all logged in JIRA from same Reporter RSS Feed

When new incidents logged in SpiraTeam are synchronized over to JIRA, they are all getting logged as being reporting by the 'synchronization user'. How do I make sure the issues are logged from the correct user?

You need to do two things:

  1. Make sure that all the users in SpiraTeam are mapped to a user in JIRA. You can do this by going to Administration > View/Edit Users and click on each user and verify that their "JIRA DataSync ID" field is set to their login name in JIRA
  2. Inside JIRA itself, make sure that the new issue screen has a field where the user can select the reporter. This is because the JIRA API follows the user interface, and if you don't have a way for a user to choose the reporter, the data-synchronization application won't be able to set the reporter programmatically either.
