Getting results from Test complete

Hallo everybody,

I use RemoteLaunch and TestComplete to automate our tests. Everything works fine except the logging of the test  results. I allways receive the message:

No messages found in logfile: C:\Users\staudtst\Documents\TestComplete 8 Projects\TestEditor\Test1\Log\18_05_2011_16_59_48_176\RootLogData.dat

Do I have to set special options in TestComplete or do I have to add special commands in the test script in TestComplete?

Thank you,

Stefan

Hi Stefan

What's the version of the TestComplete8.dll extension that you are using? When did you download it?

Hallo,

I have downloaded the TestComplete8.dll on April 26th. Can I check if the necessary information is written to the log-file (e.g. what should be in the log-file in case of an error)? Are there special commands in the TestComplete script necessary (e.g. savin the log file)?

Thank you,

Stefan

There is no need to have specific commands in TestComplete, does the loginfile mentioned:

C:\Users\staudtst\Documents\TestComplete 8 Projects\TestEditor\Test1\Log\18_05_2011_16_59_48_176\RootLogData.dat

actually exist? Could you email it to us at support@inflectra.com

Hello

To enable logging of test results in TestComplete, ensure that logging is enabled in the TestComplete options and include appropriate logging commands in your test scripts. Verify the log file path, check file permissions, and consult TestComplete documentation or support for further assistance if needed.
