SpiraTeam Instant Messaging and Contacts

I understand from the Product guides that SpiraTeam has an IM function using Contacts within the domain.

I can't find any content that helps me to create Contacts (to be displayed on my Home page) or to use the IM feature.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Peter,

Did you try looking in the SpiraTeam User Manual? See sections 3.2.11, 3.3.5, and 9.1. Note that the Instant Messenger feature can be enabled and disabled in Administration ->System -> General Settings. If you don't see any evidence of the feature in your company's SpiraTeam instance, it may be disabled.

I referenced the Manual and although it wasn't wholly obvious what I needed to do to add contacts and use IM, I've managed to gain enough insight to make it work.
