Rendering of Html formatted text in mails

The format of Html-Text in the Template editor differs sometimes significantly from the

text received in the corresponding notification mail.

For instance, when I format the whole template text to the same font family and size

"Arial" Size 10, the received mail contains text line of different size. but they should be equal?
