Spira to Jira synchronisation

Hi,

I have linked Spira to Jira via Data Synchronisation.

The idea is that Developers will work in Jira while Testers work in Spira. I linked the workflows in both Jira and Spira so that one matches the other.

However, I would like the Testers to be able to close the Incident in Spira and that needs to be reflected in Jira.

Is there a way for tester to close Incident in Spira so that its status will switch to Done (or Closed) in Jira?

So far it appears that the communication between Spira and Jira is strictly one-way (apart from incident creation) - from Jira to Spira.

Any ideas on how to achieve this?

Thanks

Also, the KB520:

https://www.inflectra.com/Support/KnowledgeBase/KB520.aspx

says:

Jira bugs are synchronized in Spira as incidents

  •  any change made in Jira after synchronization are applied in Spira
  • BUT any change made in Spira after synchronization is lost (overwritten on next sync by what exists in Jira)
  • Unless you enable bidirectional synchronization mode

How do I enable the bidirectional mode?

Hi David,

Still can't get it to work.

Put Both  (without quotes) in Custom 03 field and tried to add a comment to an existing Incident in Spira.

The comment didn't propagate to Jira. But if I add the comment in Jira then it gets into Spira.

Do I need to restart the plugin or something?

Thanks,

Vlad
