Requirement Entry Display with custome columns

We have customized the requirements entry display.....we moved a customized column from right of the display to the left of the display. When we make a change to the display, or refresh the display, the columns move back to the original position, We need to create a display format that is "locked" and doesn't change it unless we manually change it. Screen refreshs should not effect column positioning.
