Spirateam 4.1: requirements management - what to expect

Hi,

I have a question on the upcoming release 4.1.
What can I expect from:
- "enhanced requirements management functionality"
- requirement workflow (very likewise to incident workflow?)
and also:
is the target date of mid september valid?

a team of requirement writers is currently doubting on where to start to write the requirements :Jira or Spira.
(I would prefer Spira, but any extra "pro" that <enhanced req. mgmt> would bring, the easier my discussion will be.)

thx

Hi Filip

In terms of the requirements management functionality in Spira v4.1, here's what you can expect:

  • Ability to categorize requirements into types (feature, use-case, etc.)
  • Ability to have customized workflows for each requirement type
    • Different fields can be made required, hidden or disabled
    • Customize the flow between statuses
  • Ability to estimate in story points instead of hours
  • Ability to have requirements organized by folder
  • Ability to associate requirements with business components
  • Ability to have use case requirements that have discrete use case steps that will be converted automatically into test case steps when appropriate
  • Additional requirement statuses
  • Ability to requirement status be triggered by changes to the test case coverage

The current date of release is December 12th.

Adam

Hi Adam

Is v4.1 now available?

Are all these listed features now supported?

Cheers
