Specific order of Test Cases added to Test Set

We are experiencing a problem with the test cases and test sets ordering test badly.

For the moment, when we add test cases to a test set it gets ordered by ID.

But we do need a specific order in the execution which is not ordered by ID.

How can we do it? Is there any way? Can we have set a specific order?

Yes you just drag and drop the test cases in the test set.

Or sort the test cases by whatever field you like before adding them to the test set.

I know I can do it, but what about they are already in order in the test cases views and I want to select a bunch, then add them to a Test Set.

There will be no order based on my previous operation. (Test cases)

Are we forced to move it manually each time we created a Test Set??

Because in my Test Cases list I order by a custom field, then add them to the test set.
But when I'm in the test set they're ordered by ID, and in the same order in the test execution.
thank you

In general, you go to Testing > Test Cases

Sort by the fields you want

Select the checkboxes

Then use Tools > Add to Test Set

If you need more information, a help desk ticket will be the best option.

Hi Adam,

I've done exactly as you said and still have the order by ID when tests are added to the Test Set.

In the test cases grid I order by Name and select 3 test cases, which mean my ID were ordering like this : 1025, 1021, 1031.

When I go to the test set, the order is 1021, 1025, 1031.

Am I doing it wrong or is this a SpiraTest problem?
