Custom Properties not retaining any formatting after import/export RSS Feed

Wednesday, June 6, 2012

It appears Custom Properties (Type = Text) does not retain any formatting when exporting into SpiraTest from Excel even after importing a test case initially into Excel and modifying some text.

Tried to use HTML tags to insert lines/paragraphs, etc, but whilst this works for Test Step Descriptions & Expected Result fields, it does not work for Custom Properties.

Am I doing something wrong here or is this a feature that is likely to be introduced in a future release?

This is because custom text fields in Spira do not support formatting - they are plain text fields. In v4.0 we shall be adding additional custom property types, including rich text fields.
