same test cases can be added into a testset multiple times RSS Feed

Wednesday, June 22, 2011
There is no need to execute the same test cases multiple times.
However adding same test cases into a test set is allowed multiple times and this causes messy look of test set and extra cost becuase a tester can do the same test again.

Cases are not sorted in the list and quite often I am confused and adding some duplicated test cases repeatedly. I have the same problem and am afraid if my boss asks me why I am doing the same test caess multiple times in a test set.

>>> Actually many customers have asked for this exact feature (so that they can run the same test case several times with different parameters) and it was added in v3.0 because of the customer demands.
>>> Ok I understand that. However most of test mgmt systems at least pop up the warning message for users and give the decision to them. I do recommend Inflecra also provide a kind of selection pop-up in which users can chooose whether to add duplcated test cases or to skip them.

>>> I have logged it as an enhancement request, but it's a lower priority item.
