Excel Import Template Does not Update the Lookups Worksheet

When importing data into SpiraTeam via the Excel import template some of the values are converted from a string to a numeric value. The Lookups worksheet lists all the conversion values. When importing to any project other than the initial default project the values are all incorrect and do not update. This causes corruption of the imported data.

Whenever an import/export is performed, the Lookups worksheet should first be updated to reflect the values for the selected project. The workaround is to manually go into the DB and find the correct values for the desired project and update the worksheet accordingly.

If you change the project name in the dropdown list in the top of the Excel Add-In, it will automatically recalculate all the mappings for the incident lookups for the project.

This appears to be a compatibility issue with Office 2010. It does in fact get updated after selecting a project in Excel 2007. But I have tried two different Excel 2010 computers, and neither updated the Lookups worksheet.

Are you sure the Sheet was set to allow Editing (a new option in the way Excel 2010 works)? I have not been able to reproduce the issue with Excel 2010 here. If you change the project dropdown, the Incident lookups change correctly.

where did you got an Excel Import Template? And where would you load such a template into TestSpira Hosted Solution?

 

I have around 360 Requirements in an Excel and need to load them into my fresh TestSpira Subscription. How to do that? copy pasting 360 Rqmts can't be the solution
