Hello

I want to launch Rapise script on remote Desktop with Jenkins.

I have found some articles, but none seems to work.

My situation:

- i have a Rapise script on the HDD drive of my remote computer

- Rapise is installed on the remote computer

- I havec jenkins installed on a unix server with a created node of the remote computer.

I want to launch the script play.cmd.

It started but nothing appeared on the remote screen (but i want to launch the test withe the RDP window closed).

this is an output form the log:

###MSEdge Process Created (1)Process started PID:11040Connected to Chrome window:false> copie_html();Looking for object:htmlDeserializing object:HTMLObject/htmlLocation foundLocation:0 Locator:HTMLLocator foundConnected to Chrome window:falseBase object not found by locatorObject not yet available:html attempt:1Deserializing object:HTMLObject/html

Can you have a step by step guide to do it ? is it possible ?

Thanks

Hello,

RDP session must be disconnected in a special way to run UI tests. You may configure a CMD file or use RapiseLauncher -> disconnect RDP option.

Hi

Thanks but i have already done this but without success

I log on my VM (with my automate user), i click on the batch file as administrator., so i am disconnected

In jenkins, i use the play.cmd script (laucnh via batch file) without succeed too (log in my first message).

Can i launch Rapise without Spiratest ?

I would recommend you log a support ticket, we don't give such specific advice on the forums.

Hello,

If your tests are in Git and you have Spira then you may run tests perfectly fine.

https://rapisedoc.inflectra.com/Guide/git_integration/

https://rapisedoc.inflectra.com/Guide/spira_dashboard_2/

If you prefer Jenkins then

https://www.inflectra.com/Support/KnowledgeBase/KB300.aspx

Jankins agent must be running on the VM and Rapise must be installed on the VM.

So the first question, when you are connected via RDP - do you see Jenkins doing anything? I would try first with opening Notepad.exe.

Max

Hi

Thanks Max and David.

Max :

Jankins agent must be running on the VM and Rapise must be installed on the VM. => Yes (jenkins AGENT not jenkins SERVER). I have declared a Node, it works already with UFT (same user) so the node is working.

So the first question, when you are connected via RDP - do you see Jenkins doing anything? I would try first with opening Notepad.exe. => no, nothing moves

I have read the jenkins log on the node, i see the workspace, and the log write like there is no GUI, no MSEdge launched
