Custom Field in Excel Exports to Spira

I have downloaded the latest excel template and am having trouble trying to load data from the cus-01 column into a required drop-down field. I am using the Cust_01 field in Spira Test Sets and have a list of 3 options from a drop-down menu. These options are High, Medium, Low.

When I input any of these into the Excel template cus-01 column, and try to export to Spira from excel, I get an error saying the field is required. However the data in the template does upload to Spira but doesn't create the Test Set id in Excel that is used as identification for future uploads/changes to that specific Test set..

Can you advise how to address this? Does the cus-01 field require the id value of the custom list contents rather than the exact text match?

Hi Robbie,

Yes, as you suspected, you do need to provide the numeric ID of the custom list values (e.g. PV00005 would be entered as just “5”).

The Excel Add-In works great, but it can be a bit tricky to get everything in the necessary format. For complete details, please see the Integration Guide.

If you need additional help, let us know.
