Hi There.

I am currently facing an issue with my SpiraTeam Excel Add-In wherein I am unable to connect to it to upload test cases. I am getting the following error message:-

---------------------------
Connect Failed
---------------------------
Unable to connect to Server. The error message was: 'There was no endpoint listening at https://10.101.41.194/SpiraTest/Services/v5_0/SoapService.svc that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.'
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Please advise what I can do to fix this? I am new to the application and would appreciate your help on this.

H Arvind

If you are running an earlier version of SpiraTeam than v5.0, you will need an older version of the Excel Add-In.

Hi Adam,

Thank you for the feedback provided below. I can see that the SpiraTeam version I am using is v3.2. Will the download link you have provided work?

Hi Arvind,

SpiraTeam 3.2 is about 4 years old now, so it needs an even earlier version of the MS-Office Add-In: the 2007 version. You'll find it here. To get the right one, click on the "2007" label next to SpiraTeam Microsoft Office Add-Ins. You'll also need the corresponding 2007 version of the Excel template. For instructions on how to use it, please see the Integration Guide.

Elise

Hi Elise,

Apologies for the delay in response, I have tried to install the earlier version of Spira Excel Add-In but I am still getting the same error message. Is there something else I need to set/configure in order for me to make this work?

Appreciate your help on this.

Warm Regards,
Arvind

Hi Arvind,

Ahh, OK, if you have the compatible Add-In, that means that there is an HTTP proxy server running on your network that is routing the HTTPS requests to your SpiraTeam instance, but is not doing the same for the Excel Add-In. Could you ask your IT group to see if there is a proxy on your network and if you can have it route all HTTP/HTTPS traffic from your computer?

Regards,
Elise
