Cannot add or access attachments

I'm not sure quite when this began but most likely after our migration from version 4 of Spiratest to version 5 as we had some issues migrating the database.  We are currently using v5.4.0.1 and I can see the attachments in the test cases but I'm unable to open them, I get this message:

 

Attachment file not found. (Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files\SpiraTest\Attachments\98.dat'.)

I'm also unable to attach a document, it might be something little I'm doing wrong but I do point to the path of the file and when I select then try to attach I get the following:

 

The Attachments folder specified in the Administration section does not exist.

Hi 

It sounds like you need to change the location of the Attachments folder in SpiraTeam to match where the attachments are actually stored. Locate the attachments on the server, and change the location in General Settings from:

C:\Program Files\SpiraTest\Attachments

to their actual location. If you need more help, please log a help desk ticket.
