Adding custom field which allows multi-selection

Is it possible to add a custom field which would add multi-selection of users to that field? For instance there is an owner field and we would also like to add a particpants field to identify who is working on what. Without manually adding each and every individual to a custom list, how can we do this?

Hi Aaron

Right now we have only a single-select User custom property type or a multi-select generic list custom property type, but not a multi-select user custom property type.
