I am somehow missing full text search in SpiraTest. Have I overlooked something?

You can enter partial text searches into the "Name" filter on most screens and it will actually filter both name and description.

This is only partial solution. It doesn't solve the need of search across all artifacts and all text fields - not talking about attachments.

Yes, this is a known limitation that we plan on addressing in a future release.
