Customizing requirement types

Hi,

I've found an old thread, stating that the Requirement Types was planned to be customizable as of v5.0 (https://www.inflectra.com/Support/Forum/spirateam/best-practices/1119.aspx).

Nevertheless, it seems that this wasn't implemented after all?

Any updates on this this feature - is it planned for any future releases?

Hi Jon

You are correct we did not include that it in v5.0. It will be implemented in a future release, most likely v6.0 next year. It is contingent on us adding project schemes/templates first.

If we are installing SpiraTest here in house would it be possible to just edit the text for those fields in the Database so that they appear as the requirements objects that we want them to?

We need a different heirarchy than what is being permitted in SpiraTest.

We would like to see
Scope Item
User Story
Acceptance Criteria
Use Case

Having a fixed set of types and hierarchies makes it very difficult as we develop software for a client and can't ask them to re-arrange their requirements model to suit the tool we're using.

Is there a work around to this issue if you haven't yet provided an interface to customize the requirements fields?
