How to pause a test

We have several tests that require we do a partial test and note results then finish the test 12 hours later and note the results.

We have used the pause button and even just getting out of the test and going to the dashboard and using resume and the data in the actual results field that we entered is removed.

How can we pause a test case and return with actual data still visible.  Is there a "save" somewhere?

Hi Wanda

It should be saving the results as you enter them. However how are you actually resuming them.

You need to go to My Page, and under the "My Pending Test Runs", click on the "Resume" link for the appropriate test run.

Adam, we tested just now, doing an execute on the test step, entering actual results, then using the <Pause> button.  Then entering the MyPage and under My Pending Test Runs and when the test is opened, the actual results are blank.

Adam, your comment really was helpful.  I was banking on what I was being told, so  I went to the one reporting the issue and it is as you said.  We can pass or fail the test and as long as we don't finish and go through MyPage and resume, we can add to the actual results and this is what they were looking for.  I do apologize for the confusion - I am not thread savy  ;-)
