Is there a way to generate a test run or test set from the requirements?! RSS Feed

Thursday, August 30, 2012

Imagine a scenario where you have all the requirements but you will have them implemented in let says two phases.

I have requirements connected to test cases, I have requirements related to a release (phase 1) but I cannot generate a test run from this.

Or the relation between test cases and requirements is just for relationship matrix and coverage?

Kind Regards

You would typically assign the requirements to Release 1 (phase 1) and Release 2 (phase 2). Then you would associate all the test cases linked to the first set of requirements with Release 1 and all the test cases (from both phases) with Release 2 (since you'll want to regression test the first ones).

Does that make sense?

That make sense. But its manual.

I wanted to use the relationship between requirements and test cases.

Otherwise I will have to remember which test belongs to each release.

I was wandering for something automated.

This would be very nice J
