Creating custom Task status - Spira Team 4.0

I am trying to use the "Task" functionality within Spira Team and want to create customized Status with values "To Do", "Doing", "Done" to keep it simple.

As a work around, I am using the default values of Not Started, In Progress and Completed but wanted to know if the ability to create custom status values for task is an enhancement? Also, is it possible to hide/disable the default values being shown on the Status list?

Currently, the functionality exists to create custom values for Incident status.

Please advice.

Hi Praveen,

In SpiraTeam 4.1, there will be significant improvements in the task functionality. Tasks will be controlled by workflow. So rather than changing status by selecting from a list, you will do it by executing workflow transitions. This means you'll be able to specify who can change the status and what fields are hidden/disabled/required for each status. You'll be able to set it up to use only the statuses that are relevant for your project. Unfortunately you still won't be able to customize the status values themselves. (That might be possible in the future, but it would introduce a new level of complexity into cross-project functionality such as exporting.)
