How does one use the "effort" fields (e.g., the Planned Effort field in the Requirement Details screen and the other Effort fields in the Task Details screen).

The effort fields are used as follows:
- Requirement Planned Effort = the high level 'top-down' initial estimate of the functionality at the "user story" level
- Task Estimated Effort = the developer estimate of how long each task will take. The system will sum these up to the parent requirement so that this 'bottom-up' estimate can be compared with the original top-down estimate
- Task Remaining Effort = the amount of time during development left to complete the task (updated by the developer during development) - indicates the % complete
- Task Actual Effort = the amount of time taken by the develop (so far) in completing the task.

The Projected Effort is a read-only field that gives an indication of the final total estimate for the task based on the actual hours consumed and the time remaining.

I have the same question actually. How can I register "Actual Effort" on daily basis, and then get for example a month or quarter report on "Acutal effort" per day, per week, etc.?

We need this feature too. What currently is unfriendly, is that we can not set a date on what the workload should be considered.

Let's imagine that a developer wan't to worklog for a yesterday's actvivties. I he worklog it today, it is not possible to distinguish from today's worklogs.
