How to generate automatic reminders (E-mail) when incidents remain open too long?

We don't currently have built-in notification events based on time-based conditions, you could however write a small app that calls our REST or SOAP API to get all the incidents that meet the specified criteria and send out emails... alternatively we do have the built-in Incident Aging graphs/reports.
