FitNesse Plug-In Released for Spira RemoteLaunch

6-Apr-2011 by Inflectra Product News

We have just released a free plugin for the open-source FitNesse web acceptance testing framework. This allows SpiraTest or SpiraTeam in conjunction with RemoteLaunch to manage the scheduling, execution and reporting of FitNesse automated tests.

FitNesse is a lightweight, open-source automated software testing framework that uses web-based Wikis to define the inputs and expected results from different combinations of input values and then compare the results with what is actually generated during testing.

Using FitNesse in conjunction with SpiraTest and RemoteLaunch allows you to create test sets of FitNesse tests and be able to schedule them for execution across a global test lab.

Once executed, all the test results are collated by RemoteLaunch and sent back to SpiraTest, which acts as a central repository for your automated acceptance testing activities.

SpiraTest® is a powerful Quality Assurance and Project Management solution that manages a software project’s requirements, scope, use-cases, tests, releases and bugs and issues in one environment, with complete requirements traceability throughout. Customers can track every bug or issue back to the test case and test step that being executed, and from there back to the underlying requirement needing fulfillment.
