Inflectra and Testery Partner to Deliver Cloud-Scale Test Execution for Spira and Rapise

16-Jul-2026 by Adam Sandman Company News

Inflectra is pleased to announce a new technology partnership with Testery that brings scalable cloud execution to the integrated Spira and Rapise testing workflow.

The new integration allows organizations to manage tests and automation frameworks in Spira, create and maintain resilient automated tests with Rapise, and execute those tests at parallel scale using Testery’s cloud platform. Results are then returned to Spira, where they remain connected to the corresponding test cases, test sets, requirements, releases, and quality metrics.

Together, Spira, Rapise, and Testery provide a connected automated testing lifecycle without requiring teams to purchase, provision, and maintain their own test execution infrastructure.

A Connected Testing Workflow from Planning to Execution

Spira provides the central system of record for requirements, test cases, test sets, releases, automation assets, and execution results. Rapise gives teams the tools to design and maintain powerful automated tests across web, desktop, mobile, API, and enterprise applications.

Testery extends this workflow by adding elastic cloud execution.

Rather than moving tests into a separate testing process, organizations can continue to manage their automation through Spira and Rapise. Testery retrieves the required Rapise framework, executes the tests in the cloud, and reports the results back to Spira.

This keeps test planning, automation, execution, reporting, and traceability connected across the entire lifecycle.

Store and Manage Rapise Frameworks in Spira

Organizations using SpiraTest, SpiraTeam, or SpiraPlan can centrally manage their Rapise automation frameworks within the Spira document repository.

This provides teams with a controlled location for storing and maintaining the automation assets associated with their test cases and test sets. When Testery initiates a cloud execution, it can pull the appropriate Rapise framework directly from Spira.

Teams do not need to manually distribute test scripts to individual execution machines or maintain separate copies of the framework across multiple test environments. Cloud executions use the centrally managed automation framework associated with the Spira project.

Execute Rapise Tests at Parallel Cloud Scale

As automated regression suites grow, execution capacity can become a significant bottleneck. Tests may need to run across multiple environments, while a limited number of internal machines forces them to execute sequentially.

Testery provides a scalable execution layer for Rapise tests, distributing them across multiple cloud runners so that they can run concurrently.

This parallel execution can significantly reduce the time required to complete large regression suites. Teams receive results faster, identify issues earlier, and can run broader test coverage more frequently throughout the development lifecycle.

Because execution remains connected to the test sets and automation assets managed in Spira, teams gain additional speed without losing centralized control.

Return Cloud Execution Results Directly to Spira

Once Testery completes a Rapise test execution, the results are returned to Spira and recorded against the corresponding test cases and test sets.

Spira remains the central location for reviewing pass and fail statuses, execution history, test evidence, requirements coverage, and release readiness. Developers, testers, managers, and other stakeholders do not need to move between disconnected reporting systems to understand the state of product quality.

The tests may run in Testery’s cloud infrastructure, but the results continue to support the reporting, dashboards, and traceability already established in Spira.

Preserve End-to-End Requirements Traceability

Automated testing provides greater value when results can be understood in the context of business requirements, releases, and project objectives.

Because Testery reports Rapise execution results back to Spira, cloud-executed tests continue to contribute to requirements coverage, release readiness, test-set status, historical analysis, and project-wide quality metrics.

Teams can trace a requirement to its test cases, identify the Rapise automation used to validate it, review the latest cloud execution result, and understand its effect on the wider release.

This preserves end-to-end traceability while allowing the underlying execution infrastructure to scale independently.

Eliminate the Cost and Complexity of a Test Lab

Building an internal execution environment requires more than purchasing machines. Teams must provision servers or virtual machines, maintain operating systems and browsers, install dependencies, monitor availability, troubleshoot failures, and keep environments synchronized with the latest automation framework.

The integration between Spira, Rapise, and Testery removes much of this operational burden.

Spira manages the test assets and results, Rapise provides the automation framework, and Testery supplies the execution infrastructure. Teams can increase or reduce execution capacity as needed without maintaining a large internal test lab.

This allows automation engineers to focus on test design, coverage, and reliability rather than routine infrastructure management.

Designed for Continuous Integration and Delivery

Modern development teams need automated testing to provide feedback throughout the delivery process, not just before a major release.

Rapise tests managed through Spira can be incorporated into build, deployment, and release workflows, while Testery provides the cloud capacity required to execute them at scale. Results flow back into Spira, where they can be reviewed alongside the other quality, development, and release information for the project.

This connected workflow helps organizations increase regression coverage without allowing execution time or infrastructure limitations to slow down continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).

Scale Testing Without Replacing Existing Processes

The Testery integration is designed to extend an organization’s existing investment in Spira and Rapise.

Teams can continue to:

  • Manage requirements, releases, test cases, and test sets in Spira
  • Store Rapise automation frameworks within Spira
  • Develop and maintain automated tests using Rapise
  • Execute those tests in parallel through Testery
  • Return results to Spira for reporting and traceability
  • Use existing dashboards, workflows, and quality-management processes

Testery adds scalable cloud execution without requiring organizations to replace their current test-management structure or rebuild their Rapise automation frameworks.

One Integrated Automated Testing Lifecycle

The partnership between Inflectra and Testery creates a complete workflow for managing, building, executing, and reporting automated tests:

Spira manages the testing lifecycle, Rapise creates the automation, and Testery executes it at cloud scale.

By connecting all three platforms, organizations can achieve faster feedback, greater execution capacity, and lower infrastructure overhead while preserving centralized governance and end-to-end traceability.

The integration is particularly valuable for teams with growing Rapise regression suites, limited internal execution capacity, or a need to run more tests as part of their continuous delivery pipelines.
