OctoPerf Integration Released for SpiraPlan

16-Aug-2022 by Inflectra Press Release

August 10th, 2022, Washington DC: Inflectra and OctoPerf announced the release of a new integration between OctoPerf’s load testing tool and Inflectra’s Program, Portfolio, and Risk Management platform, SpiraPlan. This new SpiraApp allows users to kick off load testing in Octoperf directly from SpiraPlan and the results of the test get logged against each relevant test case.

What is OctoPerf load testing?

OctoPerf provides a full-online experience to design, run, and analyze load testing scenarios. Octoperf creates instances on a public Cloud using Amazon EC2 and Digital Ocean. These cloud instances report the test results back to OctoPerf in real-time. Users can then analyze testing results live, as they are being collected.

Using SpiraPlan with OctoPerf

This integration works by showing SpiraPlan users a simple button that automatically launches the relevant OctoPerf test scenario. Once the test has completed, OctoPerf immediately informs SpiraPlan, where the results are logged in a new test run against the test case. This test run includes a link to access the detailed test report in OctoPerf.
