As we cross this monumental 20-year milestone at Inflectra, we’ve been looking back at our roots, celebrating how much our community has grown, and looking forward to what the next two decades of software harmony will look like.
From our humble beginnings in 2006, Inflectra has grown into an international powerhouse. Today, we are proud to have 10 global teams spanning over 10 countries, serving 6 core industries. Our vibrant ecosystem includes over 50 global partners, reaching 82 countries and supporting more than 80,000 active daily users. We didn't just build a company; together with you, we built a global community.
A Stay-at-Home Dad and the Birth of Spira
Every great technology story starts with a spark of frustration and a gap in the market. For Inflectra, that spark occurred when our founder, Adam Sandman, was working as a consultant. He noticed a glaring problem: the market severely lacked modern, agile software development tools that everyday teams could actually afford.
Driven by a desire to provide widespread access to cutting-edge tools and give teams the tools they deserved, Adam took a leap of faith. Balancing life as a stay-at-home dad, he founded Inflectra in 2006. By 2007, our first flagship platforms, SpiraTest and SpiraTeam, were born.
What started as an entrepreneurial venture in a home office laid the groundwork for our enduring core mission: bringing total harmony to the software development lifecycle.

In 2007, Spira 1.1 was an on-premise quality assurance solution. It relied heavily on local office servers and was capped at just 15 concurrent users.
Today, the modern Spira ecosystem has completely shed those limits. It delivers total, end-to-end cloud visibility across massive, global engineering teams. As we move forward, Spira is transforming from a management tool into an active collaborator. Soon, teams will be able to talk to Spira in plain English, allowing built-in AI helpers to turn everyday business questions into beautiful, actionable data graphs.
Rapise: From Rigid Scripting to Self-Healing Automation
When we launched Rapise in 2010, test automation required heavy manual script writing. If a software interface changed even slightly, the test broke, requiring tedious maintenance.
Fast forward to today: Rapise has pioneered the era of intelligent, self-sustaining automation. With our latest AI-Based Self-Healing capabilities, teams can describe what they want to test in plain English. Rapise automatically understands the assignment, and if an application's layout changes, the tool intelligently fixes its own paths. Moving through 2026 and beyond, Inflectra.ai is evolving from a productivity assistant into an indispensable project collaborator.
