Earlier this month, Samy El Hassani, our Sales Account Manager, had the privilege of representing Inflectra at the Tezza Business Solutions Happy Hour in Lagos, Nigeria. This vibrant networking event, held at the Radisson Blu in Victoria Island, brought together thought leaders, QA experts, and IT professionals from across West Africa.
Hosted by Tezza Business Solutions, a leader in software quality assurance and digital transformation services across the continent, the event provided an ideal platform for cross-industry discussions, collaboration, and future-forward thinking. Samy’s presence at the event underscored our commitment to building strong regional partnerships and staying deeply connected to the evolving needs of our clients in Africa.
Strengthening Partnerships: Dinner with Tezza
Before the main event, Samy had the pleasure of joining the Tezza team for a delightful dinner. This provided a more intimate setting for deeper conversations about the future of our partnership and the exciting opportunities within the African tech landscape. It was an invaluable chance to connect on a more personal level and solidify our collaboration.

The event itself featured an insightful panel discussion where industry experts delved into the evolving landscape of software quality and digital transformation. The diverse perspectives shared during the panel offered valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the African tech scene.
Adding to the depth of the discussions, Adam Sandman, CEO of Inflectra, joined the event via video call to deliver a compelling presentation. He shared Inflectra's vision for the future of QA and how our solutions are empowering organizations worldwide to achieve their quality goals. His virtual presence further highlighted Inflectra's global reach and commitment to supporting the growth of technology in Africa.
Conversations That Matter: AI, Cybersecurity, and the Future of Testing
One of the core themes that emerged throughout the evening was the transformative role of AI in software testing. Samy shared insights on how artificial intelligence is no longer a buzzword, but a strategic enabler for modern QA teams. From intelligent test case generation to predictive defect analysis, Samy highlighted how AI can enhance productivity, reduce cycle times, and support continuous delivery.
“AI is not here to replace testers—it’s here to empower them,” Samy explained. “By leveraging AI, testers can move away from repetitive manual tasks and focus on higher-value analysis and decision-making”.
Another key focus was cybersecurity in the QA lifecycle. As software systems become more complex and threats more sophisticated, integrating security testing earlier in the development process—“shifting security left”—is becoming critical. Samy emphasized the importance of automated vulnerability scanning, risk-based testing, and collaboration between QA and cybersecurity teams.
“Quality without security is incomplete. In today’s environment, software needs to be not just functional and fast—but secure by design,” Samy noted.
