From Partner Insights to Product Futures: Inflectra's Journey at AWS NYC Summit

July 21st, 2025 by Audrey Marcum

Inflectra recently concluded a highly insightful two-day experience at the AWS NYC Summit 2025 at the Jacob Javits Center, a major gathering that drew over 11,500 attendees to explore the cutting edge of cloud technology. Despite travel challenges posed by adverse weather, our team was fully immersed, eager to learn, connect, and share Inflectra's vision for the future of software quality and AI-powered solutions.

The two-day event kicked off with a focused AWS Partner Summit on Tuesday, July 15th, followed by the larger AWS NYC Summit on Wednesday, July 16th. Read on to learn what valuable take-aways our team, led by CEO Adam Sandman, Director of Global Alliances Jessica Moore, and Strategic Partner Manager Audrey Marcum, gained throughout both days.

Day One: Deep Dives and Dynamic Connections at the Partner Summit

The Partner Summit day was all about strengthening alliances and charting the course for shared success. The keynote, focused on "reinventing the partner experience to support accelerated growth of our shared customers through innovation," set a great tone to start the day. AWS executives shared insights into significant investments in Generative AI, Agentic AI, and the AWS Marketplace, underscoring the collaborative spirit that drives the AWS ecosystem.

Our team attended various sessions, including a deep dive into Generative AI, strategies for Marketing for Success, and tactics for engaging Industry Markets. Adam also had the opportunity to attend an executive breakfast and dedicated roundtable for Generative AI Competency holders, where leaders discussed how we were moving into the world of AI agents. (See if you can spot our logo below among the list of AWS GenAI Competency holders!).

After a packed day of learning, the networking continued into the evening. We kicked off with the AWS Rising Stars Networking event, an exclusive opportunity to connect with the AWS Emerging Partner Leadership team and fellow Rising Star Partners. This was followed by a stop at the Workload Migration Program (WMP) happy hour, providing a valuable chance to network with other ISVs focused on accelerating workload migrations to SaaS. We wrapped up the evening enjoying the iconic NYC skyline at sunset – a perfect end to a productive day.

Key Takeaways from the AWS Partner Summit:

The future of software delivery is clearly heading towards Agentic AI, envisioning a powerful collaboration between humans and "digital humans." Some critical insights emerged regarding software testing, software delivery, and quality assurance:

  • Kiro and the Future of Coding: Amazon's new agentic coding platform, Kiro, is set to revolutionize current coding assistants. It reflects a growing belief (which we at Inflectra share) that future software delivery will be driven by requirements and specifications, not just code. This paradigm shift raises intriguing questions about the future of traditional agile methodologies. Our plan at Inflectra is to integrate our new SpiraPlan MCP Server with Kiro to seamlessly feed its requirements.

  • Quality and Speed: As AWS CEO Andy Jassy eloquently put it, there's a "false binary between Quality and Speed." At Inflectra, we've long advocated that agility and quality are not a trade-off. With the right culture, training, processes, and of course, powerful tools, organizations can achieve both.

  • The Agentic Future of QA: The landscape of Quality Assurance is poised for a transformation, with agents working in tandem with humans. Imagine using inflectra.ai to write and critique requirements and specifications, leveraging agentic tools to write code, employing Generative AI to craft test cases and assess risk, and then utilizing agentic, autonomous testing agents like Rapise in agentic mode to test applications using Large Action Models and Large Vision Models. This truly heralds a new era for quality.

Day Two: Expanding Horizons at the Main AWS NYC Summit

Wednesday, July 16th, brought an even larger crowd to the Javits Center for the main AWS NYC Summit. The keynote by Swami Sivasubramanian, VP of AWS Machine Learning, explored the vital balance between timeless fundamentals of security, reliability, and operational excellence, and innovative investments like agentic AI frameworks. This theme resonated deeply with Inflectra's commitment to delivering secure, high-quality, AI-powered solutions.

Our team took the opportunity to engage with key AWS personnel and other industry partners. We held highly productive discussions with both Robby Gill, Manager of Emerging Technology Partnerships at AWS, and Patrick Garhan, Manager of Emerging ISV Partnerships at AWS. These conversations collectively focused on how Inflectra can further strengthen its alliance with AWS, particularly by aligning on customer needs and identifying joint opportunities for mutual support and credibility within the broader AWS community. The emphasis was on deepening our shared understanding of customer challenges and collaborating on solutions that drive impactful wins.

Beyond our direct AWS engagements, we fostered connections with other leading AWS Partners. We held excellent discussions with Cloud303 and Docker, exploring various avenues for collaboration and how we can collectively add value for AWS customers. It was also a pleasure to meet many of these partners in person for the first time. Our conversations also extended to Rhythmic Technologies, an AWS Advanced Tier Partner, where we explored industry-specific solutions, especially for regulated industries, and how we can assist joint customers.

The day concluded with a walk through the bustling expo hall, giving us a chance to see the innovative solutions on display from various sponsors. We then continued our networking at sponsored happy hours, bringing a successful close to our AWS NYC Summit journey.

See you next year, AWS NYC Summit! You were great.

We're excited to carry this momentum forward! If you're attending, be sure to see us at AWS Partner Equip in DC at the end of August. We look forward to seeing you there!
