Last week #TeamInflectra spent the week in Europe, attending the AutomationSTAR software testing conference in Amsterdam, Netherlands, followed by hosting an executive roundtable with our partner AWS that focused on the "Journey to AI", with an emphasis on how you can deploy GenAI solutions safely and responsibly. After that, our team traveled to Milan, Italy to meet with our longtime services partner TXT Quence, and speak at the TestingUnited conference. This recap blog shares some of the key takeaways from the different events.

Exhibiting at AutomationSTAR 2025 in Amsterdam

We were excited to be back at AutomationSTAR 2025 in Amsterdam as an exhibitor and sponsor. Attendees visited the Inflectra booth to learn about how Generative and Agentic AI can transform their software delivery:

We also had our usual array of cool stickers and Inflectra merchandise. The questions and insights from the attendees will be used to further improve our products as we head into 2026.

Hosting an Executive Roundtable with AWS

After the conclusion of the AutomationSTAR event, we were privileged to host a CxO roundtable panel discussion with our partner Amazon Web Services (AWS) on the subject of building trustworthy AI, ensuring safety and compliance.

One of the attendees posted this great synopsis of the event. His key takeaways included:

  • 🚫 Only 11% of organizations have adopted AI in full in their intended use cases due to unclear ROI and governance issues.
  • ⚙️ Data governance challenges + integration complexity with legacy systems = AI bottlenecks.
  • 🔒 Compliance risks and unclear regulatory frameworks, leading CISOs & Privacy officers to bottlenecks ( hello, EU AI Act).

What could help:

✅ A clear path-to-production plan which must include:

  • a clear problem statement
  • the business case and defined ROI (value)
  • the technical infrastructure (tech)
  • the regulatory framework (policies)
  • an impact assessment (risk)
  • an implementation plan (effort)
  • the necessary controls (compliance measures) and
  • a structured QA Testing and improvement.

✅ An elaborate data strategy & a data retention plan

✅ A clear governance framework

✅ An incident plan in case things go wrong.

🧠 An open mind because if we want a buy-in the benefits that AI can offer, we have to be open to experimentation under safe conditions and trust that by constant iterations we will be able to achieve a product that will deliver the desired value!

Speaking at TestingUnited 2025 in Milan

There was a great opening keynote at the TestingUnited conference by Tariq King on the subject of how AI is going to change development and testing. With his extensive pedigree and experience of the subject, it was refreshing to hear about what AI will change and what the new career landscape will look like.

  • There will be a need for testers to learn how to use AI  to do testing of digital systems
  • Testers will need to learn new tools such LLMs as the Judge to test ai systems themselves.
  • Human experience testing involves both the digital and physical touch points. A great example of his flight from the US to the conference!

Finally some very good reference slides on how AI is being used to transform the SDLC. A lot of investment from the large AI platforms such as Microsoft, Amazon, Anthropic and Google is going into this space.

After Tariq's great keynote presentation, I had the privilege of speaking on the topics of AgenticAI based software delivery, Large Action Models (LAMs) and how to ensure safety and quality in this third age of GenerativeAI.

Thanks to Peter Svoboda, Nikolett Godova and Jana Svobodova for organizing the event and making everything run so smoothly.

During my talk I covered:

  • how we have now entered the third age of agentic ai with digital teams connected by #MCP and #A2A.
  • how software development will move from human craft coding to spec based development using tools like Amazon Kiro
  • practical tips and tricks for ensuring that you can turbocharge testing and other quality engineering practices to keep up.

Meeting Up With Our Italian Partner - TXT Quence

It was wonderful to meet up with our partner Andrea Picozzi from TXT Quence to discuss how GenAI is changing software delivery and qualityassurance.

It was also a great opportunity to share the product roadmap for SpiraTest - Test & Requirements Management, and Rapise - Scriptless Test Automation and understand some of the key use cases for Inflectra.ai in the Italian market.

We are excited to launch some new joint GTM motions next year #bettertogether.
