Inflectra Launches Spira AI Connect: Unified Bring-Your-Own-LLM Support for On-Premise Spira Customers

13-Jul-2026 by Adam Sandman Product News

Inflectra is pleased to announce the launch of Spira AI Connect, a new unified SpiraApp that gives on-premise Spira customers a flexible way to connect their own large language model provider to the Spira platform.

Spira AI Connect is designed for organizations that want to take advantage of AI-powered capabilities in Spira while retaining control over their AI architecture, data governance, model selection, and deployment strategy. With support for both REST API and Amazon Bedrock API interfaces, Spira AI Connect enables customers to bring their own LLM and connect it to Spira using an approved provider, enterprise AI gateway, private endpoint, or AWS-native Bedrock deployment.

Spira AI Connect in Action

This new SpiraApp replaces the previous provider-specific SpiraApps for OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and Amazon Bedrock. Instead of maintaining separate connectors for each AI provider, Inflectra has consolidated this functionality into a single, extensible SpiraApp that will be maintained and enhanced going forward.

For on-premise Spira customers, this provides a simpler and more sustainable approach to enterprise AI integration. Organizations can configure Spira to work with the AI model and endpoint that best fit their internal security, compliance, procurement, and operational requirements, without being locked into a single AI vendor.

Spira AI Connect also gives administrators greater control over how AI is used inside Spira. Customers can select the model used for their AI workflows and customize the prompts that guide AI-powered features. This allows teams to align Spira’s AI responses with their internal terminology, development methodology, regulatory context, engineering standards, and preferred style of analysis.

This flexibility is especially important for regulated, security-conscious, and self-hosted environments where AI adoption must be carefully governed. Whether an organization is using a commercial LLM provider, routing AI requests through an approved internal gateway, or standardizing on Amazon Bedrock, Spira AI Connect provides a unified path for bringing AI into the software delivery lifecycle on the customer’s own terms.

The launch of Spira AI Connect reflects Inflectra’s broader commitment to practical, enterprise-ready AI. Rather than forcing customers into a single AI deployment model, Inflectra is giving organizations the ability to choose the model, provider, interface, and prompt strategy that best support their business needs.

Customers currently using the older OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or Amazon Bedrock SpiraApps should plan to migrate to Spira AI Connect. The older provider-specific SpiraApps will be phased out over time, with future enhancements focused on the new unified connector.

Spira AI Connect is available now for on-premise Spira customers.
