Inflectra.ai Latest Update - Release Analysis Tools

21-Oct-2025 by Adam Sandman Product News

We are excited to announce the release of the first version of our Release Analysis feature that is part of Inflectra.ai. This groundbreaking new feature will help you analyze your releases, phases and sprints, to bring their different parts together into a useful executive summary. This allows you to get a birds-eye view of a release or sprint.

Analyzing the Release's Requirements

The initial version of the functionality will look at the requirements attached to a release - including such attributes as their priority, progress and status - and use that to compile a summary of the release. We plan on extending it in the next versions to also consider other artifacts such as incidents, test cases and potentially risks.

To see it in action, consider the following sample release of a new product version:

There are a bunch of requirements associated with the release, some completed, others in progress.

Using the new Inflectra.ai sidebar for the Release details page, you will see the following operations available:

Clicking the Analyze this release's requirements will display the following executive summary of the release:

The analysis gives a high-level overview of the state of the release, including what works has been done, what is left to do, and a recommendation on how the remaining work should be prioritized.

It provides two options for capturing the analysis:

  • Create an attachment
  • Add a comment

Creating an Attachment of the Analysis

This option is best when you simply want to document the analysis and keep it as record for audit purposes. Clicking the Create attachment option will generate a new document, attached to the release:

You can see this attachment, by clicking on the Attachment tab and clicking to view the details:

It contains the formatted analysis in a simple to view and download format. Note that the generated attachment/document will be tagged with ai-generated.

Creating an Comment Containing the Analysis

This option is best when you plan on taking action right away.

Choosing Add comment will populate a new comment associated with the Release or Sprint:

Note that we tag the comment with ai-generated to ensure users know it was created by Inflectra.ai, and not a human.
