System Requirements

SpiraTest^® is a web based application which requires:

• a Microsoft Windows^® based web server (to host the application)
• a SQL Server database (to host the application data)
• a web browser (for using the application)

The minimum hardware and software requirements for running the SpiraTest^® are listed in the table below. If you have any questions regarding these requirements please contact us.

*Note that SpiraTest^®can be loaded onto either Windows Server or Workstation editions, provided that the IIS web-server is installed and that either SQL Server or MSDE is available as a database engine. However Windows Vista, Windows XP Professional and Windows 2000 Professional can only support a maximum of 5-15 concurrent user web sessions (depending on edition). In general unless there are only going to be a couple of client machines hitting the server, we recommend using Windows Server (preferably Windows Server 2003).
